Come and Sing Day

Gabriel Fauré: Requiem in D minor

4th November 2023 (10.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.)

This year Norfolk Camerata are celebrating at least 150 years of joyous music-making in and around North Walsham.

As part of these celebrations we will be hosting a Come and Sing Day at St Nicholas’s Church, North Walsham on Saturday 4th November under the direction of William Falconer.

All those who love to sing are invited to join this friendly choir for rehearsal workshops of the beautiful Faure’s Requiem followed by an informal concert in the evening.

Singers of all abilities and voice parts are welcome; an ability to read music would be an advantage but is not essential.

The timetable for the day will be:

Arrival and registration/coffee and biscuits 10 for 10:30 a.m.

Short break at 11:15 until 11:30 a.m.

Lunch 1 – 2 p.m.

Tea and cake 4 – 5 p.m.

Performance of the Requiem for friends and family at 5.00 p.m.

Drinks and cake will be provided but participants are requested to bring a packed lunch or make use of the cafes etc. in North Walsham.

Tickets for the day: £10.  Advance booking essential via the choir website at http://www.ticketsource.co.uk/norfolk-camerata or phone Maggie Smyth on 01603 783841 or Rosemary Jackson on 01603 279541.
