Norfolk Camerata returned to performance after the COVID pandemic with Christmas by Candelight at St Botolph’s Church, Trunch, in December. Despite the cold, this was a wonderfully festive setting – with mulled wine on offer to warm up the audience – and the choir made a resounding comeback with some familiar and lesser-known works, including pieces by Buxtehude, Haydn and Corelli. Handel’s ‘And the Glory of the Lord’ from ‘The Messiah’ and Harold Darke’s beautiful setting of ‘In the Bleak Midwinter’ ensured that everyone left the church feeling thoroughly festive.
Norfolk Camerata would like to express their thanks to Boris and the residents of Trunch for inviting us to sing in this beautiful church.
